My First Card

Hello & Welcome to my blogging pages,

I like to create and craft, and have been making Greetings Cards since June 2013.  The card below is the first card that I made at that time for a friend's birthday.

I used a quality cream coloured DL card and glued several pieces of different pale patterned paper against it to form a nice background.

I took a Prima Doll Stamp by Julie Nutting and some black coloured Archival Ink and stamped the dolly shape out onto some peachy coloured textured linen paper and cut her out by hand with scissors.

I coloured her hair and shoes with a fine black Sharpie pen, and then added silvery shimmer highlights to her hair, and coloured her "Alice Band" and shaded in her body shadows with a blush coloured Pro-Marker pen.

For her dress I used two different Liberty fabrics and stamped her dress twice using Momento Danube Blue Ink by Tsukineko.  Once again I cut both the dresses out by hand and glued them to the paper dolly and left her to dry completely for 24 hours.

When she was thoroughly dry I then mounted her on the paper background using double sided foam tape so that she stood away from the background, and to finish the card I added a tiny clear crystal embellishment to her hair and a pink wooden daisy-type flower.

Thank you for visiting my blog today.
